Learning by Sustainable Living

Imagine what it would be like to live in ways…

…that are fully ecologically sustainable – yet with a sense of having more than enough and getting all your important needs met

…where you feel free and even supported to be yourself – while having a sense of being connected to others and being a valued member of a community

…where working offers the experience of ’flow’ and co-creation of something valuable for others

…where you feel you are constantly learning and evolving –  building your knowledge and practical capacity to navigate through the opportunities and challenges that life has in store for us as individuals and as the human species

…where you are in touch with or within reach of something that is offering you a fundamental sense of power, peace, and purpose.

For four weeks, in the Learning Lab for Sustainable Living / EDE Hallingelille, we will co-create a learning community that holds these intentions and aspirations as central in all that we do. It goes without saying that we will not be 100% successful in realizing this utopia. Yet, we feel confident that we will get close enough to have an inspirational and motivating experience of what a more ecologically and economically sustainable, socially connected and meaningful way of life might be like.

Beyond this, the purpose of the four weeks, is to identify and recognize some of the forces that holds us back from achieving this, and to learn and build our capacity for how we may deal with these obstacles.

The four weeks offer an education but not in the conventional sense of the word. It is perhaps more appropriate to call it a learning experience of joining an intentionally different way of living.

Training dates: 5th of August – 1st of September 2012
